ReplyDeleteBeing a mum of 7 we usually dont get a chance to go anywhere, I was proposed to on valentines day by my now husband and so we do what we do every year. When we were in our teeneage years we were nothing more than best friends and lived together just as friends, he asked me out but i said no neverrrrr. lol, every friday we would buy a chinese takeaway and watch a movie that we would both be scared of so we now every year carry on the tradition by ordering a chines and a film and enjoy eachothers company, its rare we get an hour together with him working all hours and the children up all hours so on valentines dayits the one time we make sure we can enjoy at least that extra time x

ReplyDeleteI love chocolates and flowers, but I prefer spontaneous gifts that are unexpected. I hate all of that mushy forced valentines day stuff. It's the small everyday gestures that count, not the big flamboyant shows! Gosh, do I sound like a valentines version of Scrooge?
ReplyDeleteHopefully go for a meal, that would be a nice treat
